Terms & Conditions

Clear guidelines for a smooth and safe delivery experience

1

Access, Clearance, and Delivery Feasibility

  • Pathway & Gate Dimensions: Precision placement requires a minimum horizontal opening of 60 inches (5 feet) and adequate overhead clearance free of low branches, wires, or roof eaves along the entire transit route.

  • Property Suitability & Driver Discretion: Our equipment operators assess property access routes upon arrival. If an operator determines that ground conditions (such as excessive slope, severe mud, uncompacted fill, standing water, or physical barriers) make the requested drop location unsafe for equipment or likely to cause major terrain displacement, delivery will default to the most practical, stable location (e.g., driveway, apron, or curb line).

  • Failed Access Attempts: If a delivery cannot be completed due to undisclosed obstructions, locked gates, lack of required clearance, or blocked driveways, a standard trip fee may be deducted from any refund or assessed for rescheduled delivery.

2

Property Damage & Ground Conditions (Limitation of Liability)

  • Low-Impact Equipment :  WinterWood.Life utilizes turf-friendly, articulated, and low-ground-pressure machinery engineered specifically to minimize ground disturbance under normal operating conditions.

  • Underground Infrastructure & Concealed Hazards : Customers must identify and notify WinterWood.Life in advance of any shallow or concealed underground utilities, including but not limited to: irrigation lines and sprinkler heads, septic tanks, distribution boxes, leach fields, invisible dog fencing, low-voltage landscape lighting wires, and drain tiles. WinterWood.Life assumes no liability for damage to unmarked or shallow underground infrastructure.

  • Surface Wear, Turf, and Driveways : While our equipment is selected to preserve landscaping, transporting heavy bulk loads over private property naturally carries inherent risks. WinterWood.Life is not liable for cosmetic turf indentations, temporary wheel tracking, rutting due to saturated/soft ground, minor scratches, or cracking of aging, unsealed, or substandard asphalt, concrete, paver driveways, or flagstone paths occurring during customary transit and placement.

  • Customer-Directed Placement : In the event the customer directs the machine operator to traverse a specific route or place material in an area against the operator's expressed recommendation regarding ground softness or obstacles, the customer assumes full responsibility for any resulting terrain or property damage.

3

Reusable Tote & Pallet Program

  •  Reorder Coupon Credit : For every empty, undamaged WinterWood.Life tote and pallet pair returned upon delivery of a new order, customers will receive a credit applied directly to their subsequent invoice (e.g., returning 1 tote/pallet set yields a $20 discount; returning 3 sets yields a $60 discount).

  • Condition of Returns : To qualify for the reorder credit, totes must be empty and free of structural tears, burns, paint, or chemical contamination, and pallets must be structurally sound and reusable.

  • Non-Reordering Accounts : There is no cash refund, cash buyout, or deposit return for totes and pallets. For customers who do not wish to reorder, WinterWood.Life will gladly collect and recycle empty totes and sound pallets at no charge during our next standard delivery route in your area, or they may be dropped off by appointment.

4

Product Inspection & Acceptance

  • Natural Product Characteristics : Firewood is a natural, organic product. Dimension, bark coverage, log shape, and moisture content will vary naturally within standard commercial tolerances for seasoned firewood.

  • Inspection Upon Arrival : The customer (or customer's representative) is encouraged to inspect the product upon placement. Any concerns regarding delivered quantity, quality, or placement must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Once wood has been removed, unpacked, or burned, the delivery is deemed fully accepted.

5

 Scheduling, Weather & Rescheduling

  • Weather Postponements : Heavy seasonal rainfall, deep snow, or ground thaw (mud season) significantly increases the risk of lawn damage and equipment slippage. To preserve your landscape, WinterWood.Life reserves the right to postpone or reschedule placement deliveries until ground conditions become sufficiently firm and dry.
